With over 30 years of experience in the African bush and more than 20 years dedicated to training field guides, Ian is passionate about developing confident, capable professionals through practical, hands-on mentorship.
As an accredited FGASA Assessor and Trails Guide Mentor, he specialises in Trails Guide mentorship, Advanced Rifle Handling (ARH) training and assessments, and practical guiding skills. Ian assesses candidates for Nature Site Guide NQF2, Nature Site Guide NQF4, Trails Guide and Advanced Rifle Handling qualifications, always focusing on professionalism, safety and real-world competence.
